Episode 96 — Quest for the Pixies’ Door
Adventuring over the Threshold & Pixie Etiquette
In this episode, I return to the wild heart of Dartmoor to follow a trail of folklore, intuition, and quiet synchronicities in search of one of the moor’s most elusive mysteries: the Pixies’ Door. This hidden threshold is said to open into the otherworld — revealing itself only to those the pixies choose to guide — and for years it has tugged at the edge of my awareness like a half‑remembered dream.
What began as a simple walk soon unfolded into a deeper quest. The land seemed to shift around me: signs appearing at just the right moment, stories rising unbidden from memory, and that unmistakable sense of being gently steered by something unseen. As I wandered between tors, streams, and wisht places, I found myself listening with more than my ears — letting the landscape speak in its own subtle language.
In this episode, I share the moods of the moor, the lore surrounding pixie dwellings, and the ways the land communicates when we allow ourselves to move slowly, openly, and with a little wonder. It’s part field journal, part folklore, part lived experience — an invitation into the liminal spaces where myth and reality meet.
